enigmatic dance of the undeserving

Why do so many of my entry titles sound like titles to Fall Out Boy songs?
The point of this entry will be that there is no point. It shall be a random and free-flowing mixed bag of whatever-the-hell-I-can-think-up. I'm glad that you're along for the ride.

There was a
drawing last night for the massive 12-state lottery jackpot And apparently atleast 2 people have won. Pennyslvania, in which I live, does not participate in this lottery. Although you can drive to Maryland or New Jersey (you can do both from here in about 75 miles or less) to purchase a ticket at any store that sells lottery tickets. But over the past week a lot of people keep coming in and getting pissed off that we do not sell tickets for this lottery because of the $370million jackpot. Our state is not involved, we do not get money from the proceeds and therefore do not sell the tickets. Get over it.

I saw a commercial today for this company called
Blue Hippo. They apparently help people who want/need a new computer but can't afford one outright. They do not check credit. Instead they have you pay a one-time upfront fee (not sure how much that is) and then you pay 13 weeks worth of layaway. Overall you pay a certain price every week for a year and then you own your computer. But you pay the upfront charge and then 13 weeks and then they'll order your computer from the manufacturer. They are not refurbs and are brand new, in-the-box models from brand name manufacturers. They have different systems available and different prices per week depending upon the specs of the system. Now they have a particular package in which they also give you a free printer and 20 inch LCD TV once you've completed your 13 week commitment (although you can pay more than the weekly amount to speed up how long it'll take before they order your system). I almost considered this. And it might seem like they were paying me to talk about this. But that is definitely not the case. By the time I finished paying $42.75/week it seems that I would have vastly overpaid for the system and it's not much more powerful than the eBay ones I am thinking of buying to upgrade myself over time. And the ones I am looking at would cost me about two weeks worth of what Blue Hippo would want. Sure, this service might help some people out...I don't think I'll take advantage of that. Although down the line they may be able to get me to order an HDTV from them *drool*
I am now in the process of
taking back the internet. Take the Internet Back is a pretty cool idea for making some money online. Advertisers pay the company to send ads to its members who click on links at the bottom of the e-mail to prove that they received and checked out the advertising. But the best part is, as a member you are part of the company. You own a bit of the company. It isn't a company that makes money and sends a bit to you. You don't earn "a penny per clicked e-mail". Each link you click in an ad e-mail is a point. The more points you have, the more 'stock' you own in the company. Which equates to the amount of money that you own.
While there are far more members, let's pretend that they had only 100 members. The company is owned by 100 people. If all members have 5 points they are all equal members. So if an ad brings in $100 for the company it would earn each member $1.00. Now if 50% have 10 points and the other half have 5 points then half of the members would get $1.50 and the others would get $.50 in theory. So you read e-mails and click the link for points. Your points add up. As a payment is made to the company, the money is split up appropriately amongst it's members. They do take out 45% for a war chest which is used to fund new sites and ideas (of which you will also be a partial owner) and 10% for administrative costs.
The cool parts are that they give you $10 to start with. You pay NOTHING. EVER! You can request a payout whenever you have $20 or more in your account. They pay on the first of each month and you can get a company check or have them deposit it into a paypal account for you. Some more cool points are that after 180 days and refering atleast one person, you are a member for life and wouldn't even have to click any more links to make money. However..as other members would earn more points they'd have higher interest in the company. But clicking links in your e-mail inbox or the inbox in your account on the site is simple and takes seconds. As soon as they've been around longer you'll start getting between 1-10 mails per day. Clicking every day gives you higher interest and therefore more money. So instead of clicking a link in a mail to earn a penny and then it means nothing, that point adds up to earn you more money with every advertising payment the company gets!!
So yes, I am fully supporting this! Please click
here to open this site in a new window and sign up under me. I get 3 points so you'd be helping me out by helping yourself out. I wanted to put this up because I know that everyone wants to make some money online and this would seriously take a minute or two at most each day (and you could even let them build up over a week and spend 10 minutes one day per week..if that clicking the links to get your points) and earn money each day without doing anything else.
I gotta get ready for work. 2-10pm Come home and check e-mail and then pick up Jenn {
invisibleinkling ) from the train station when her train arrives, stop at the store for some more pasta to make for dinner and then we'll eat while we, hopefully, finish off the Whose Line is It Anyway episodes we have left (two I think). And then we can hit up Scrubs Season 4 tomorrow or Friday night and many over the weekend to try to finish it before the 18th when Jenn takes off for Dallas for two weeks.
Thanks for spending some time with me. I'll return the favor. Rock on!
hmm...it's like they're paying you to get spam that you sort of don't want to see anyway, but are...
