Day One: A Survival Guide
Thursday, February 1, 2007
This is part One to the grand survival guide. My legs are killing me. They hurt pretty dadly nearly my entire shift. Chad relieved me on time which is very, very good. But I am exhausted and my legs, again, are killing me to no end. Right now I can only imagine how gloriously Heavenly it will feel to lay down. While I am sure that I will pass out pretty quickly after my head hits the pillow, I hope that I have atleast 2 minutes to enjoy how it feels to be laying down.

Made it through the day and did not kill anyone. Nor did I really get to the point where I wanted to kill someone which is atleat one entire step up from my previous job.

Now to make it through tomorrow. I am writing a short mental note to myself to take my Aleve INTO the store and not leave it out in my car. I thought it would be fine because I'd get a break or something if I needed it. Never got a break. Didn't eat and was too busy to run to my care for even 1.5 seconds to get the Aleve to help my ailing back and legs.

But anyway.

Tomorrow morning...oh hell...later this morning we're going down to an office in Norristown to see about getting energy assistance (they help us pay for our heat for our apartment) and maybe even foodstamps which would help us save money which could then go towards rent and other stuff that's vital to our survival! Wish us luck. It would be very good if something like this went in our favor.

I was going to mention the impending snow tomorrow night/friday morning but I am so exhausted that even though there are atleast hundreds of little letters and atleast a hundred words (oh for the love of god, don't count in an attempt to prove me wrong because I'm guessing anyways!), they're all constantly tightening in and all letters melt to the center of the page until I have one hell of a big blob in the middle of the screen where intelligible words once stood. But I'll get back to this stuff.

But for now I bid you a good night and hope that you sleep the sleep of the damned.....no...dead. Goodnight.

the first few months I worked, my feet, back, legs... hell my whole body was sore cuz I had never been on my feet for such an elongated period of time. Over the years, I've gotten used to being on my feet the whole 8 hours {or more} a day, but if I even sit for 5 minutes and then get back up again, my feet hurt so bad. Its nice to get home, take a relaxing hot shower and sit down to relax. . . till the next day when I have to work again. Sleep well and good luck not killing anyone tomorrow too :)

See I can't do what you do. That's why I have certain job fields that don't require me to walk or stand for a certain amount of hours. I have a torn ligament in my right knee, and a dislocated left ankle. So I'm sorta fucked if i shift weight to either. Then again, I hate desk jobs. Unless it has to do with graphic designing...or video games. Then I'm fine!

Ah.. I missed a few posts of yours! Sorry about that. It's good to hear that you've got a job! My legs hurt like hell for the first few days I started working too. I still does now but not as bad. Good luck for tomorrow!
