Just because it's another day

So now a whole lot happened today to report on. But I will try to make this entry worth reading by the end anyway.

I followed Jenn out and waited with her at the bus stop until the bus came to pick her up for work. I then made my way to the Walgreens that they built a few blocks away just a couple months ago to see if they're still hiring. Everyone working there save for one was wearing a "Trainee" badge so I thought that it might be a good sign. I bought a couple of items and then asked the cashier if they were hiring. She asked the head customer service rep on duty and he said that they believe that they are and I could use either their computer or my home computer to apply on their site. The computer there is just like mine..simply a computer with internet access which would point to their site to apply. So I said that I would do it at home but that I felt a lot better having them tell me that they WILL personally receive my application in that store because you never really know where your applications go when you apply online.

I made my way back home and stopped at the office to tell them that the main outlet in our kitchen and whichever one runs the refrigerator were not working. The stove/oven and kitchen dome light worked but that's it. I looked at the breaker box in our living room closet but it looked fine. They had someone come up about 30 minutes later and surely enough one of the breakers had been tripped. He told me which one specifically it was in case it were to happen again. I could have sworn that all switches were in the same position. I know for a fact that all labeled ones were in the same position. The one he moved...isn't labeled. But hey, now I know which breaker switch it is.

Then it was time to go get Jenn early. We were going to go to Borders tomorrow but I figured that we might as well do it while we were already out and we planned to go to KFC anyway. Jenn gets, what I believe is all, she wants from Borders and while they have what I want..I know that I can get the brand new Dean Koontz book (Brother Odd) for less at Target and Borders had Stephen King's second most recent book (Cell) in hardcover and I knew that if Target didn't have it for less, Walgreens had it in paperback for $18.99 less than Borders wanted. So we ran over to Target where I got Brother Odd in brand spankin' new hardback for $18.90 (Instead of Target's price of $27.99) and they had the softcover of Cell for $7.50 which is $2.50 cheaper than Walgreen's price. For good measure I picked up a new copy of the movie Zoolander because I've been craving a viewing of it for weeks and cannot find my copy anywhere. It was only $7.50 brand new and contains special features that my original copy did not have. So that worked out pretty well.

While Jenn went dancing with her friends (which I personally think is awesome) I debated on which book to read. But I figured that my previous book was Koontz's The Husband which was his second most recent book (just before Brother Odd) and I hadn't read a Stephen King book in a while. Which is primarily due to the fact that most of his recent ones have been the Dark Tower Series and while I hear absolutely great stuff about it..I had struggled through both of the first two of seven parts of the series back when they came out. And I'd just have to re-read them to even try to finish it. Not my cup of tea. Although with the speed which I have been reading lately, I may just end up doing it for lack of other stuff to read by him. Don't get me wrong...I've always been a fast reader with a very high comprehension rate (the ability to not only read speedily but also to be able to fully understand everything that you'd read in that period of time). But I started Cell this evening and have already made it through 130 pages. Of 420. In about 2 hours. So that's about an average of 65 pages per hour or one page every 5/7 of a minute. Forgive me for my math if it's a little off. I am performing it in my head and I am discussing a high rate for reading and not mathematics haha But needless for me to say, it is an engrossing read which has me quickly turning pages.

While reading my cell phone, which was on silent, must have gone off with a call and I checked the voicemail. It was someone from JiffyLube which I know I mentioned applying for that job a few days ago. But their automatic response from applying from this site online was that I had to call their 1-800 employment hotline number. Which my phone hadn't let me get around to yet. But sure enough someone ended up calling me anyway. She said that she's trying to schedule interviews for this Wednesday. So I am going to call tomorrow (later this morning) and see about setting up an interview. It's not too far from here although I'd have to pass some tricky traffic but I am sure that I could find a way around it after a couple of days. Although...you know what...I think I just figured out the 'secret' and BETTER way of getting in and out of there. You see..mind powers.

Anyway. That's that. And I honestly did have something interesting that I was going to post. I forget what that was. But I updated a few of my modules. Changed the Eagles module as well as added a new album that I 'rated' which I've been listening to although by way of MP3 player with the album on it and not my actual physical CD.

Perhaps the interesting stuff will come back to me when I'm not so tired. But for now it is time for goodnight. Good night.

haha
I totally know what you mean by debt. I'm only in my first year of university, and I'm already a little over 10k in debt. After I graduate, I figure I'll have about 40-50k of debt hanging above my head. But since I don't have to pay back any money until I graduate, I've got a few more years before I can kill myself. Haha =P

Good luck with the interview. Good night and sweet dreams... or rather, have a nice day!
