Been busy and kinda ill the past week so I didn't post so now it's time for my belated Christmas update! Going to my family's on Christmas Eve was great. We had my Uncle's Swedish Meatballs that I was hoping that he'd make and a bunch of other yummy stuff and we discussed all sorts of various things.
We opened up the presents from Jenn's family on Christas Eve which was neat! I got a handsome sweater which I ended up wearing to Christmas. And Jenn's Dad's mom got me for Secret Santa and she bought me an official sideline Eagles shirt (which I am wearing for the first time now to watch the game which starts in an hour) and a thick, comfortable pair of NFL socks which I am also wearing for the first time now.
Then I put out my presents while Jenn took her nightly shots. Then I went into the bedroom and put on A Christmas Story while she put her presents out. I slept pretty well I think hah And I woke up at the time I wanted to. Chad was making breakfast and my mom called about the time that they said she would but they still got here a little late. Here's a run down on most of what I got:
Dean Koontz's new book The Husband (he has put out a new book since this one but I wanted to read this one first), a Phillies jewelry box to put my necklaces in since I have a tendency to misplace them...and it's worked like a charm (no pun intended!) thusfar!, an awesome Eagles sweatshirt that has jersey type material on the outside, a Phillies casual jersey, a Diesel watch (which I love!), an Eagles wireless PS2 controller (which I also love!), a new Eagles microfiber throw blanket (Jenn bought me one last year but this microfiber is so much more comfortable and she saw it last year after she'd already bought me that one last year), a very adorable, large white Winnie the Pooh with a blue shirt and blue eyes (soooo cute!), the Command and Conquer: Generals PC game that I wanted and a couple things I will be returning for something else. I also received a few gift cards which we'll do something with soon!
Then we went to my other Aunt and Uncle's where we had snacks and dinner. I didn't think that I'd get to watch the Eagles game but my cousin Cristy (who I didn't know was an Eagles fan) brought her boyfriend's handheld television. Sure it was tiny and couldn't see a ton of detail but I got to watch the game to a degree and watched my team make me ever so proud as they crushed the Cowboys 23-7.
So now we're having a New Years Eve get together. My mom, Rob and his friend Kevin who is staying with them will be coming to watch the final Eagles game of the regular season today. The Cowboys are currently losing to the 2-13 Detroit Lions haha If the Cowboys lose, we automatically take the Division crown no matter what happens in our game. If the Cowboys win and we win, we still take the Division crown. The Cowboys have to win and the Eagles have to lose for the Cowboys to take the Division but they are playing miserably right now! So I am looking for a super exciting game today no matter what!
And then Lauren is bringing Jenn home around 7:30 and Kevin will be leaving. We'll order some pizzas along with the tons of Doritos, alcohol and meat/cheeses Chad just bought. So we can all celebrate the New Year together.
I was very sick last night and this morning but I'll get into that in the next post but I think that I'll be okay for tonight. I hope that you have a great New Years, however you celebrate!
Not sure if I wished you a Merry Christmas so Merry belated X-mas and a Happy Early New Year! Glad you enjoyed Christmas and you're feeling better. :)
