Just What I Needed (sarcasm)
So yesterday I was bitten/stung by something. I was outside at lunch time. The wind was blowing and I thought that it was blowing the tag in the back of my shirt like it sometimes will so I reached back to tuck it back in where the wind couldn't make it annoy me. This was followed by a horrible stinging sensation. I took of my coat and looked on the ground to see if I could see what did it. I didn't see anything. I still have no idea what the hell it was.
Following it..back in work..my shoulder muscles were swelling and hurt like hell. The sting/bite/whatever was right in the middle of the back of my neck. You could feel the heat coming from my shoulder muscles. Last night at home my arms hurt so badly and the injury point burned like all hell. LIterally. I had to keep walking outside the building where it would be cooler because my whole body was overheating.
This morning I didn't feel quite so bad. But then the spot started itching like nobody's business.
Fast forward to five minutes ago: I'd felt that the injury spot was rather swollen. And then I felt the glands in the left side of my neck. I kid you not when I tell you that the gland is literally standing up. It doesn't hurt currently..but it certainly looks and feels like it should. I am going to keep a very close eye on it and if I feel any pain at all and/or the swelling gets worse, I'm going to have to go somewhere to get it looked at. I certainly hope that it doesn't start to hurt like it looks like it should.
I wll say that I'd felt multiple bee stings and even a wasp sting. This felt a lot worse. I am not allergic to any of them. And I'd never had anything more than a red bump for a couple of hours after the initial sting.
Your guess is as good as mine on this one. I am off to bed and pray that it'll be better in the morning.
playing naked was brought up, but we decided it was going to be too cold. maybe come spring.

I've never been stung, but I have been bitten by spiders. That sux cuz it swells up around the bite and it itches like crazy. When I got bit on my Achilles tendon, I couldn't walk right for 2 weeks cuz my entire foot swelled up. Oh well. I hope your uhm, bite gets better soon. And hopefully its nothing to worry about.

Lol...I was just going to guess if it was a bee! But isn't it too cold for bees now? :(

Aww...just like me. I still have no idea what those were. =/ Hours may not do anything--it probably needs a couple of days. Maybe a week at most? Hope you feel better!

i had a bite like that on my elbow once. It started swelling and ithcing and then hurting really bad, so bad i could barely move. I went to the doctor and it turns out I had gottena staff infection from the bite. Be careful about it

Holy crap THat is pretty scarey. Did you get someone to look at it? It is a good thing that you are not allergic.

Be careful because the spine is not a thing to mess with. You have a lot of blood vessels and nerves in the spine that can easily cause paralysis. Just keep monitoring yourself. :)
