Let's see where this goes.
A) My design still doesn't look correct in IE. Please view in firefox or another browser if possible until I fix this. And if you choose just to continue on with IE, please don't flame me the center box for being to the left and not actually in the center haha
B) Went to see two movies today which was great because we could all use the laughs. We saw Employee of the Month first which made me think a lot about my place of work. Although I am not in the same shoes as the employees in the movie I can see a lot of similarities for those that are actually employed by the store which I service. It was great though and I already want it on DVD. But as of late movies have had a much quicker turnaround time than they'd had in the past so hopefully it won't be too long before I can get it.
Also saw Jackass Number Two. What can I say about it?? You know what it's all about. Hurting oneself to make others laugh. It's also somewhat about hurting others although no one in the film really enjoyed hurting their friends which you will hear during a couple different stunts. But the film knows what its about. It doesn't apologize. If you want to laugh at people hurting themselves, this is most definitely THE movie to see. There were a couple of points where I hurt from the laughing. And as you can imagine, that can be a very, very helpful thing!
C) The Eagles play later today! They play the New Orleans Saints who are also 4-1 so far this season. We need the win to keep a decent foothold on the NFC East division. But it will be tough as the Saints are 2-0 so far in this young season a the newly opened Superdome. But my Eagles still have the top-rates offense and Number One ranked passing offense in the NFL and the Defense has been pretty killer. No matter what it should be an awesome game! I can't wait!!
D) The next point will lead-in to the following point. John (etheracide's drummer/lead singer) called me after practice on Thursday night to let me know that last Friday's show was his last gig with us. It seems that he will give us about 3 weeks to practice with him before he leaves for good. I am a little pissed, honestly, about how it went down because he was promising us plenty of time to find a perfect singer and perfect drummer replacements. Well as of now we have neither and it'll be very, very tough to get that done in only three weeks. And worse than that is the fact that I've had to use John's amp for practices and gigs because it's 75W of power and the one I currently own doesn't compare. His leaving would leave me with no amp for practices or shows...so...
E) I bought a Crate Powerblock (shown in the image below)! Since very few people around here would understand the specs, I won't go on about them but suffice to say that it is very, very powerful and is perfect for people who use a multi-effects processor which I do. The list price is $299. They normally sell it for $199. I bought it for $99 and free shipping...absolutely brand new! It also comes with the power chord and the padded bag seen in the picture.

F) I was informed by my boss that she already has my 6-month review paperwork and has them already filled out. She just has to see me this week to show it to me, have me sign it and then fax it into my company. She said that I am definitely getting a raise (!!!!) but also that my raise will be retroactive so I will be looking at about 2 months (40 hours/week. 40X4 = $160/month. $160X2 = $320) worth of pay added to the next paycheck. Of course I am positive that my raise won't be that high. Those were based upon a raise of $1/hour but I am thinking that it'll be more like $.50/hour which is still $20/week more than I was making for doing the same thing. So with that paycheck I hope to buy a cabinet to go with the Powerblock head and then I'll be all set.
Well I've been ill for the second half of the day and I am now going to pass out so that I'll hopefully feel all better tomorrow.
Have a good, good night.
woohoo about the head...now all you need is a cabinet!
Go Eagles!
