This won't be my last post for the night but as I look at my sources I am so befuddled that I must post this right now and not immediately before I go to sleep.

Alright as I stated in a previous post... I got etheracide booked at a venue where we've been trying to play for a while. I finally get the date and everything. But then we have to select a band to open for us. Which would normally be fine. I was hoping that would be the case.

Supposedly we had bands that would mention us if they were playing a show that needed more bands. And that we would mention if we also played a show that needed atleast one more band to play. Networking.

So now we have a show where the venue actually ALLOWS you to select your own band to open for you. I contacted all bands that I thought were networked together with us and some others from the area. I've heard back from only one of them and it was a negative as two of their members have prior commitments. Which is fine. In fact..it's awesome for them I suppose! But after we go out of our way to try to offer a show on a Friday night they can't even take a minute to send me a messaging letting me know that they can't make it. That would be fine. But please extend some courtesy especially to someone that is trying to give you a show.

And that amazes me. I thought that bands wanted to play and would do anything that they had to do in order to play a show. And when one quite literally falls in their lap..they can't even be bothered to decline but thank those that extended the invitation.

I am sorry for the negativeness but it astounds me.

Hopefully I will get in a happier post before I go to bed.
